Underground Railroad was published by Doubleday in 2016.

The book won the 2016 National Book Award and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Previous work by Colson Whitehead includes the novels The Intuitionist,     
John Henry Days, Apex Hides the Hurt, Sag Harbor, and Zone One.

His non-fiction work includes, The Colossus of New York and The Noble Hustle.

Dr. Georgette Grier-Key is Executive Director and chief curator of the Eastville Community Historical Society of Sag Harbor.
