2015 Poetry Marathon - Joe Pintauro - Harvey Shapiro - Meena Alexander
The 21st annual Poetry Marathon at the East Hampton Town Marine Museum in Amagansett, New York was held on Sunday afternoons last summer. In July 2015 playwright and poet Joe Pintauro read the work of the late Harvey Shapiro and his own work and India-born poet Meena Alexander read from her work. Listen here: Playwright and poet Joe Pintauro was born in 1930 and died in May 2018. Joe Pintauro is best known for his plays which include Raft of the Medusa , Heaven and Earth and Men’s Lives .
