Sag Harbor whalemen left a treasure of literature and songs that are the subject of Stephen Sanfilippo's doctoral disertation. Add to that the songs written by East End baymen and Stephen himself and you have the ingredients for this month's East End Ink - recorded in Sag Harbor at Canio's Books.

Susan and Stephen divide their time between Southold on the North Fork of Long Island and Maine. Their concerts have been heard from Long Island and Mystic, CT to Prince Edward Island, Canada. They may be reached at seasongs@207me.com or 207-726-4747 in Maine and 631-765-9257 on Long Island.

Dr. Georgette Grier-Key is Executive Director and chief curator of the Eastville Community Historical Society of Sag Harbor.
