We present   Robert M. Dowling reading from  Eugene O’Neill, a Life in 4 Acts. His biography of the playwright was published by Yale University Press in 2014. He spoke at Canios Books, Sag Harbor in November 2014. Mr. Dowling is professor of English at Central Connecticut State University, New Britain. He has published extensively on Eugene O’Neill and serves on the editorial board of The Eugene O’Neill Review and the board of directors of the Eugene O’Neill Society.  Listen here :

Hofstra University historian  Stanislao Pugliese  speaks on “Primo Levi, Umberto Eco and the Resurgence of Fascism.”  From his vantage point as an expert on the Italian anti-fascist movement, Dr. Pugliese discusses the resistance movement in WWII Italy, the contribution of literary writers, and gives his interpretation of contemporary events.
