Tonight we present author, editor, and writing teacher Suzanne McConnell talking about Pity the Reader, the art and craft of writing by Kurt Vonnegut, co-written by McConnell, his former student. 


Suzanne McConnell was a student of Kurt Vonnegut’s at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop from 1965 to 1967, when Vonnegut was in residence and finishing his masterpiece, Slaughterhouse-Five

Suzanne McConnell was recorded at Canios Books, Sag Harbor in November 2019..

Professor Thomas Petriano, Chair and Professor of Religious Studies at   St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue examines the Pope’s work in a talk recorded by Canios Books, Sag Harbor in March 2021. Pope Francis’ book Let Us Dream – a vision of a just society post pandemic  was written in collaboration with the Pope’s biographer, Austen Ivereigh.             It was published by Simon and Shuster In December, 2020.
