Afro-American Writers - 2019 Community Read-in


We present portions of a community reading of the work Afro-American writers conducted at the John Jermaine Library in Sag Harbor in February 2019.


It was jointly sponsored by the Library and Canios Cultural Café.

The readers are:  

Rev. Kimberly Johnson, Nancy Myers,
Bill Chaleff , Rev. Eda Lorello, Ursala Hegi, Bobbie Cohen, Daria Wishnia, and Gordon Gagliano.

They read the work of:

Washan Shire (Somali poet), Nicky Grimes, Venture Smith, Everett Hoagland, Audre Lorde,  Daria Wishnia, Bryan Stevenson, and Mohamed Ali.
