African-American Writers Read In
Each February The John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor presents a Read In of African American Literature in cooperation with Canios Books where our program is recorded. Today's program reprises the February 2011 reading. It i ncludes a folk tale, the poetry of Phyllis Wheatley, and Etheridge Knight, an essay by James Baldwin and spirituals sung by local singers Terry Sullivan and Bill Chaleff. The readers are Catherine Creedon, Carol Spencer, Mikal Gohring, and Pamela Kalamanis.
